Helpful Tips from Professional Delray Beach DJs
Wedding photos, good or great? All Events General Party Tips
Are you using up lighting for your wedding? You’re spending a lot of money on your photographer to capture moments and you can be your own worst enemy while trying to save money. LED Up-Lights flicker at 60 cycles per second unless they are “theatrical rated” or “flicker free”. Although warned, we had a bride turn down our lighting package because her venue was proving her up lighting. During her reception, their photographer was frustrated because the walls were orange to the naked eye, sunset theme, but the photos were coming out with red or yellow stripes, some lights were on and some off. The lights weren’t “flicker free” and each was different based on the cycle of electricity. Hiring a vendor that uses only theatrical rated up lighting can be the difference.

Importance of Entertainment! Wedding General Party Tips
First of all, if you’re reading this right now, you’re most likely engaged. CONGRATULATIONS, that is a great thing! You’ve found your special someone, probably dated for a while, shared the first hug, the first kiss; one hundred percent fell in LOVE! And that right there is exactly what your wedding is all about. Now you’re engaged and the planning begins, don’t worry, it’s stressful; however, it’ll be over before you know it and it will all be more than worth it. Now, where do you start? I mean invitations, location, decorations, caterers, photographer, the list is endless. But, let’s not forget about a real biggie, your entertainment. Our topic of discussion today: What should be the most important aspect of my Wedding? This is it, your special day is here and everything HAS to be just perfect! Your family has arrived from all over; your friends are here to celebrate with you. Your loved one is now going to be your husband or wife! Let’s pretend the ceremony has just ended, now it’s time for cocktail hour and then… THE RECEPTION! This is the culmination of months and months of planning. Now it all comes together, let the celebration begin! What do you think your guest will remember the most about your party? Remember all the planning, time and effort you have put into this event. Now, the most important outcome will be to have a successful party. Your goal is to have your guest leaving the party, thinking what an amazing time they had. And how is that accomplished? Well mainly through entertainment, to back my reasoning up with facts, I spent a couple of hours doing a bit of research and this is what I have managed to find: The following information was released concerning the outcome of weddings with regards to entertainment. 72% of all Brides say that they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment. Almost 94% of all Brides say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment. 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding reception said, “If they had to do it over again they would have chosen a disc jockey”. When asked, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment and whether or not they had a good time. During the planning of a wedding, brides say their highest priority is their wedding attire, followed by the reception site and caterer. Reception entertainment was among the least of their priorities. After their reception, 78% of all brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority when choosing their wedding professionals. 84% of all Brides said that having a Master of Ceremonies who provides guidance throughout their event should be a very important aspect when booking an entertainment company. 91% of all Brides said if they were planning their wedding reception again, they would only choose a company that sends a disc jockey and a master of ceremonies team to handle entertainment. A two person show was highly recommended. Source: Simmons, 2001; USA Today, 2002; National Bridal Service 2001; The Knot 2002, Brides Magazine, 2002. Complete information found at expressdjs.com Ok, so I hope I make a little more sense now. Ok, so the information might be a bit dated, but the opinions have not changed. There are many things to consider, remember, at times cutting cost might cut quality. See exactly what each company is offering, what kind of feedback they have been getting. Don’t let a company just send you anyone, meet with the person that will be present at your wedding. Last thing you want is to meet with a sales person that will say anything to have you book the party, have them promise you one thing and at the end of the day another happens. Make sure you are receiving what you are paying for. It’s a once in a lifetime event… Make sure you chose wisely! Again, Congratulations, I sincerely wish you the best! Love, Peace and Party! Wedding Tips Wedding General Party Tips
When hiring your disc jockey, make sure that he is more than a disc jockey that just hits play on a cd player. It is very important that your disc jockey is also a Master Of Ceremonies. Now if you do not know what that is, i will explain it for you. A Master Of Ceremonies is someone who handles all of your announcements for you at your reception. He does the introductions of the bridal party, along with the introductions of the bride and groom for the first time along with their first dance, then he introduces the best man for the toast, then its on to the meal, after the meal, he will introduce the parent dances, cake cutting ceremony, garter and bouquet toss and anything other fun crowd participation activities you may want to do. I sure hope that this article helps you in making your decision for your disc jockey. Always remember that your guest will cherish 2 things at your reception. They will remember how beautiful the bride was and also how great the disc jockey was.
