Beware of fast talking salesmen and fancy websites! Many times the person on the other end of the phone is not your DJ! Beware of bragging “multi-op” DJ companies who hire young inexperienced DJs who work for a small hourly wage……some of which are afraid of a microphone! Wouldn’t you be horrified if you found that the $500+ dollars you paid for a “professional” was a beginner training on the job! What makes a good DJ?………Experience! Sure, anyone can play music but a professional DJ will have spent years honing his craft and “read” the crowd and know what to play and when to play it. He will know all types of music from oldies to current & know song tempos. Remember, nothing beats experience and you hire a professional for their expertise. Ask a lot of questions! Does the price include “setup-teardown-load-in” and/or “travel” charges? lights? refund policy? Get it in writing! Beware of these sales pitches! “hire us we’re the best” or “the cheapest” or “the most expensive” If you feel the price quote is too high you may be paying franchise fee’s. Too low and you may be talking to someone that does it as a “hobby”. Everyone loves to save $ and you may be tempted to book a “friend of a friend” to save $. I couldn’t tell you how many times I have gotten calls from folks who went this route only to have the DJ cancel @ the last minute! Get it in Writing!
